Thank you for considering employment with our company. As a brief overview, Foster Assessment Center & Testing Service, Inc. (FACTS) is committed to enhancing the quality of life and independence of individuals in the local communities that we service through the provision and delivery of vocational evaluation and career guidance services. The goal of our company is to provide the finest professional vocational evaluation and career guidance services for individuals in career transition or in need of vocational direction. Through the contribution of highly skilled staff, a vocational evaluation identifies an individual's vocational strengths and weaknesses and partners with individuals to establish strategies and steps leading to gainful employment.

 

FACTS was founded in 1984 and has since grown to be the largest vocational evaluation and assessment provider for both the private sector, including the California State Department of Rehabilitation, Workers Compensation, CalWORKs, GAIN, WIA and numerous other contracts throughout California. Assessments range from one day to ten days and focus not only on basic skills but also determine learning style, physical tolerances, aptitudes, skills, worker traits, as well as ability to return to work.

 

For over 25 years, FACTS has conducted over 60,000 vocational and career assessments and learning disability evaluations for CalWORKs in Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, San Diego, and Ventura Counties.FACTS' assessors have also conducted thousands of vocational and career assessments for youth and for individuals through social services agencies throughout Southern California.

 

FACTS conducts more WIA assessments than any other provider in California. FACTS assessors conduct vocational assessments at multiple One-Stops for WIA participants for a number of Workforce Investment Boards. The Department of Veterans Affairs also contracts with FACTS to evaluate hundreds of disabled veterans each year.

 

FACTS has grown to provide assessment and career guidance services at over 60 locations throughout Southern California through our CARF accredited assessment centers. To date, FACTS has provided assessment services for over 200,000 individuals.

 

Our staff is highly qualified and experienced, and in addition to approximately 40 full time employees, we have the largest number of Certified Vocational Evaluation Specialists (CVEs) on the FACTS staff, of any company or agency staff within California. CVE status is a nationally recognized certification which can only be achieved after passing a written examination, four years work experience in the field, as well as a four year college degree or Masters Degree with required coursework in testing/career guidance.

 

Our final product is a report that specifies the individual's current vocational abilities regarding successful employment, vocational options and outlines career advancement strategies. We do not place individuals in jobs, nor do we assist in teaching interviewing skills or resume development. We are specialized evaluators assisting in determining the most appropriate career direction for an individual through objective testing and documentation of current skill levels. Our reports are utilized by referring agencies and professionals to assist individuals in their career development. We provide extensive training on all functions of the job, and select only the best qualified individuals to join our company.
