PRE-EMPLOYMENT TESTING FOR EMPLOYERS

 

Foster Assessment Center & Testing Service Inc. (FACTS) has provided employers pre-employment testing throughout Southern California. Pre-employment testing is a vocational assessment process that assures employers they are interviewing and hiring the most qualified of the applicants. Oftentimes this testing can be co-funded or solely funded through local One Stop Career Centers funded by the Workforce Investment Act (WIA).

 

Tools that FACTS utilizes in pre-employment testing may include, but are not limited to:

 

      1. performance tests (skills and/or work samples)

      2. work value/attitude inventories

      3. aptitude tests (mechanical, clerical, technical, sales, etc.)

      4. basic skills tests (reading, math, spelling, learning ability)

      5. behavioral observations (work pace, work habits, attitude)

 

The FACTS assessor will conduct a job analysis with the employer to identify the work skills and aptitudes required for the job. FACTS will perform testing for the essential job functions of the job, thus complying with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and Equal Opportunity Employment Commission (EEOC) requirements. The participants' probability of success in employer training programs is increased by our methodology. We make certain the participant meets certain minimum proficiencies on a series of aptitude and skill based test instruments that correlate essential job functions with the training program or job cluster.
