VOCATIONAL TECHNICIAN
The Vocational Technician assists the Vocational Evaluator in the administration and scoring of tests. Minimum educational requirements are a high school diploma. There is upward mobility within the company for those individuals who are pursuing their Bachelor's Degree. The Vocational Technician should posses a high level of attention to detail, have excellent observational/note taking qualities and have exceptional people skills. Some travel for certain technician positions may be required. Bilingual ability is mandatory in some locations, but not all.
VOCATIONAL TECHNICIAN / CLERICAL ASSISTANT QUALIFICATIONS
- High School degree or GED minimum. - Fully bilingual in Spanish. -Type a minimum of 25 correct words per minute and ability to use WORD software. - Ability to travel and work at multiple company locations is a mandatory requirement. - Must have regular access to an automobile and able to travel up to 90 miles radius from their primary work site to the secondary work sites. - Physical requirements (as generally categorized under "medium" physical demands) include standing and/or walking for extended periods of time (up to two continuous hours), sitting for up to one continuous hour, typing up to one hour (with recommended breaks), lifting up to fifty pounds, extensive reaching and handling, talking and hearing.
DAILY JOB ASSIGNMENTS
- Administer and score all tests and work samples. Notify individual evaluator of individual ........participant's needs - Take behavioral observations, client quotes and complete the Daily Observations. - Type clients' test results into report skeletons. - Document daily attendance/absences of participants on FACTSTRACK Referral Log. - Score all work samples tests that need immediate attention. - Clean work floor and tech desk after 3:00 p.m. each day. - Clean shop and photocopier areas. - Separate and sort out all scored tests prior to departure. Update participant test results summary page for Evaluator - Assist with taking of telephone referrals of participants and checking of center's email.
WEEKLY - Complete Physical Tolerance Summary Sheet for each evaluation client. - Make sure there are enough client forms for entire week. - Make sure pencils are sharpened and adaptive equipment is replaced onto shelves. - Review psychometric cabinet for needed tests. On Friday afternoons, make copies of all .........needed forms. - Clean all work samples at least once per week. - Assist with the compiling of needed documents to the admin office. - Make up new client file folders and mail participant attendance reminder notices. - Make telephone confirmation calls to participants one to two days prior to their attendance.
MONTHLY - Go through all test booklets we use repeatedly and erase markings. - Update needed test and work sample supplies on Test Supply Request. - Cross check monthly invoicing of participants to FACTSTRACK attendance records. - Check all clocks in center to make sure they are all at the exact same time.

OVERALL - Make sure work floor is extremely quiet during day. Approach clients as soon as any noise is ........made and request that they minimize noise (or notify their evaluator immediately). - Attendance is required at all FACTS quarterly staff training sessions for vocational.techs - Must carry a cell phone.
